June 7th, 2022 –

After a two year suspension we were delighted to host the Rathgar Junior Open this Bank Holiday weekend… and what a weekend.

With more than 650 matches over 4 days, the quality of tennis, the sportsman/womanship, the comraderie, the laughs, the highs and few lows (mainly weather-related) all made for a memorable weekend.

Junior Head Coach Jamie Pilkington and Junior Committee Chair Sheenagh Maxwell would like to extend their warmest thanks to everyone who made the weekend so enjoybale. To all the volunteers, the line callers, the sponsors (Decathalon, Yonex and Supervalu), the toasted ham and cheese sandwich makers (yum, yum!), the mams and dads, but above all the players.

You did yourself, your clubs and your families proud. From U8, U9, U10, U12 and U14 players, everyone turned up and did their very best.
