2024 Adult Club Championships

The Club Championships ran from September 6th to 21st with 17 Events and 137 entries.  The finals were held over 2 nights with the prize giving, food and drinks on Saturday 21st September.  There was lots of great tennis played over the 2 weeks.

RTC Men are Senior League Winners!

Huge congratulations to the Rathgar Men’s 1st team who were comprehensive winners of the Class 3 DLTC over 35’s Senior League.  They beat Castleknock 2 in a very windy battle in Clontarf yesterday.

The winning team comprised:

Eoin McCormack (Captain) and Jason Twohig

Keith Lyons and Barry Clifford

Mick MacAree and Alan Ryan

Other men who played on the way to this success were Declan Harrington, Mick Dempsey, Paul Castonas, Mike Mansfield whose valuable contribution ensure the team qualified top of their group and helped in earning promotion to Class 2.

Hard luck to the Women’s 1st team who made it to the semi-final of Class 2 but were unfortunately beaten by a very strong Wicklow 1st team (who went on to become the overall winners).  Well done to the team of Niamh Allen (Captain), Jenny Black, Claire McGuinness, Zoe O’Hara, Karen Lowe and Katie McGill (and the fabulous subs) for reaching the semi-final.
