About Rathgar Tennis Club
Rathgar Tennis Club is the hidden gem situated right in the heart of Rathgar village in Dublin 6.
Established in 1986, the club has grown from small beginnings to an active membership of over 800 today.
Affiliated with Tennis Ireland, we cater for all ranges of tennis abilities from beginners and social players, to league and inter-provincial level players and offer extensive coaching programmes at adult and junior levels.
Rathgar Tennis Club is more than a club. We are a community and our aim is to provide tennis for all ages and all levels, in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Our Facilities
At Rathgar Tennis Club we offer modern facilities with 10 all-weather floodlit courts, 2 practice walls and a newly renovated clubhouse with large indoor and outdoor social areas, TVs for the big games, BBQ space, changing facilities, free parking and much more.
Courts are available for public use on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 3pm and 5pm subject to being reserved and paid for through the office. Cost is €5 per person for 60 mins. To make a reservation, please email [email protected] at least 7 days in advance.

Our Committees
While our club very much is about our members, there are a few names useful to know. Our Club President is Eddie O’Flanagan, and he chairs our Executive Committee made up of:

Our Coaches
Coaching plays a very important role in the club activities with regular coaching available for Senior players and a thriving Junior coaching programme.

Jamie is our Head Coach of the Junior Tennis Programme and has been with us since early 2017.
Qualified at Level 4 and Tennis Ireland accredited, Jamie, along with his team of experienced coaches, has developed a full suite of coaching options for junior members and also offers personalised and group coaching plans.
